LNWR STEAM SHED 1901
This OO gauge exhibition layout, measuring 12ft x 8ft, depicts the LNWR at the end of the Webb era.
A double track main line carries eight typical trains of the period and passes by a four track steam shed which is crowded with locos. A spectator once remarked that it was a busy weekday on the main line but a Sunday at the loco shed!
The layout has appeared at 22 exhibitions and won a prize at several of them. It is booked to appear at Warley in November 2011 and Wigan in December 2011 and these may well be it's last outings ever. I am getting too old!
Further details of the layout and rolling stock can be found at :-
